Welcome to the Department of Electrical & Electronics Engineering of DON BOSCO POLYTECHNIC COLLEGE Thirukzhukundram. Electrical & Electronics Engineering is an exciting and dynamic field that deals with the technology of electricity, especially the design and applications of circuitry and equipment for power generation and distribution, machine control and communications. Electrical and Electronics Engineers enjoy a high demand service status in modern manufacturing and industrial processes. It imparts quality education in multifarious disciplines of Electrical, Electronics, Communication, Control Engineering, etc. along with generation, transmission and distribution of electrical power and a set of subjects specially focusing on the performance and design of DC, AC and Special Electric Machines. The course curriculum combined with practicals, produce skilfully competent professionals to face the modern technological challenges.

The department has set up many state of laboratories, such as Electrical Machines I & II, Control of electrical machines lab, wiring and winding lab, Power System Simulation lab, Electronics device and circuit’s lab. Our department has very cordial atmosphere between faculty & students. Our department has always been known for its conductive ambience, where students flourish & cherish.

Faculty members of our department are always involved in cutting edge research apart from passionate teaching. We are proud to have an exceptionally dedicated, motivated & experienced faculty as our Electrical Engineering family members. Programme Outcomes

1. Identify and formulate Electrical and Electronics Engineering problems from research literature and the ability to analyze the problem using first principles of Mathematics and Engineering Sciences.

2. Understand the role and responsibility of the Professional Electrical and Electronics Engineer and to assess societal, health, safety issues based on the reasoning received from the contextual knowledge.
