The management acknowledges and respects the religious beliefs of all the groups and denominations represented in the college. However, only catholic religious services will be held at the Institute in which passages from Bible, Kuran, Bhagavad gita is read on the alternative days, and in which all the students are expected to be present and take an active part. Regular religious / moral instructions will be given for all the students. The primary aim is to help the students to reflect on the great questions of life, to deepen their understanding of being human and their life journey in the society.
The Art of Cleanliness
All Don Bosco Institutions give importance to the cleanliness, not only the hygiene of the person but also the hygiene of the campus too. Our institute instill in the students the art of cleanliness, as part of our training, they are expected to keep the class rooms, labs, play grounds, restrooms, canteen, gardens, etc… neat and tidy. The students are encouraged to feel proud to participate in keeping the institute clean and collaborate with the teachers in carrying out all the tasks entrusted to them.
Dress code
The students must be punctual for all the activities and programsin the Institute on every working day. Late comers are not allowed to enter the class without the written permission from the Principal / Dean of Studies/ HOD
No student is allowed to take leave without obtaining prior permission. A written application from the parent or guardianis must by those who take leave. The absentee should not enter the class room without the written permission from the Principal / Dean of Studieswhenreturning from home. If the absenteetakes leave more than 3 days in case of illness, a medical certificate must be attached with the application for leave.
The students can refer the DOTE website under e-governance portal, regarding the attendance eligibility for the board exams.
Absenting oneself from the institute for 2 days in succession without permission / information will be observed seriously.
Absence on the opening and closing days of a term or just before or after special holidays like Christmas, Deepavali, Pongal, and Easter etc. will be considered a punishable act and a fine can be charged towards student welfare fund.
In case of sickness, the students need to inform the college authorities on time. Duplicating parent’s signature will be regarded seriously.
Library & Internet Service
The Library of the college is well-equipped with text books, technical journals, books on printing, applied science and general education. The library is principally a reference library and it is accessible to all. Books have to be read in the library only. Browsing internet is allowed during the library hour with certain restrictions. Students must take great care in handling the books, periodicals and other resource materials in the library.
