Shadowing Program – Bridging Skills and Industry Readiness
Don Bosco Polytechnic College, Thirukazhukundram, launched the Shadowing Program to equip pre-final year students with real-world exposure and industry-relevant skills. Designed as an Industry-Oriented Skill Bridging Initiative, this program involved 50 pre-final year students (including 6 girl trainees) from Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, and Computer departments.
Through a structured blend of technical training, interdisciplinary learning, and workplace observation, students gain first-hand experience in professional environments. They learn about industrial tools, teamwork, safety practices, and communication standards that define successful careers.
The initiative emphasizes hands-on learning beyond classrooms, encouraging students to connect theory with practical applications. Weekly monitoring and mentor feedback ensure continuous growth and engagement.
