The National Service Scheme (NSS) Inauguration Programme for the academic year 2026–2027 was organised on 02 July 2026 at Don Bosco Polytechnic College, Thirukazhukundram. The programme was presided over by Rev. Fr. Dr C. M. Varghese, SDB, Secretary, and Rev. Fr. J. John Joseph, SDB, Principal, who inspired students to embrace the values of selfless service, discipline, leadership, and social responsibility.

The NSS Unit was formally inaugurated by Mrs G. Amutha, Sub-Inspector, Singappenkal Athiradipadai, marking the commencement of the NSS activities for the academic year. The National Service Scheme, guided by its motto "Not Me But You," aims to develop the personality of students through community service and active social engagement. During the programme, students were introduced to the objectives and various activities of NSS. The NSS Volunteer Oath was administered, and the volunteers pledged to serve society with dedication, sincerity, and commitment. The programme motivated the students to become responsible citizens and contribute meaningfully to the welfare and development of society through the spirit of volunteerism.
