Don Bosco Polytechnic College, Thirukazhukundram, inaugurated its GOATS, ICONS and TITANS student development initiatives for the academic year 2026–2027 on 07 July 2026. The programme was organised exclusively for the first-year students with the objective of introducing them to the institution's unique learning and mentoring platforms that promote academic excellence, leadership, teamwork, and personal growth. BOSCO ICONS was introduced as a professional development initiative aimed at enhancing students' skills through quality training and career-oriented opportunities.

TITANS was presented as a dedicated training group that prepares students for various Government competitive examinations through systematic coaching and guidance. GOATS (Givers of All Talents) was introduced as a peer mentoring initiative, where academically outstanding students support average and slow learners through collaborative learning and academic assistance. The special address was delivered by Rev. Fr. Lourdu Raja, Principal, Don Bosco School of Excellence, and Administrator of Don Bosco Polytechnic College, Thirukazhukundram.

Drawing from his personal life experiences, he inspired the students to develop self-confidence, perseverance, discipline, and a spirit of service while making the best use of the opportunities provided by the institution. The programme motivated the newly admitted students to actively participate in these initiatives and strive towards academic excellence, holistic development, and responsible leadership.
