Catering Program – Nourishment for Learning
The Catering Program at Don Bosco Polytechnic College is a nutritional support initiative designed to ensure that no student’s education is interrupted by hunger. Launched on July 1, 2025, the program supports 30 marginalized trainees — including 4 girl trainees and 26 boys — from scheduled communities, most backward classes, and orphaned or refugee backgrounds.
Every college working day, trainees receive a nutritious lunch prepared and served through the Don Bosco Canteen. Additionally, a weekly food allowance of ₹50 is provided to help them meet their daily nutritional needs.
This initiative not only nourishes the body but also strengthens attendance, focus, and overall well-being — allowing students to participate more actively in academics and skill training.
