Academic Year Inauguration 2026–2027 on 01.07.2026
On 1st July 2026, Don Bosco Polytechnic College, Thirukazhukundram, inaugurated the Academic Year 2026–2027 with great enthusiasm, marking the beginning of a new chapter of learning, innovation, and excellence. The inaugural function was graced by Ms Sethu Lakshmi, Vice President of Suniti Solomon Foundation and Senior Programs Lead at YRG Foundation, as the Chief Guest.
The programme commenced with a warm welcome, followed by a unique technology-enabled lamp-lighting ceremony that symbolised the harmonious blend of traditional values and modern innovation. The ceremonial lighting of the lamp reflected the institution's vision of embracing digital transformation while preserving its rich educational heritage. This was followed by an inspiring inaugural address that encouraged students to embrace discipline, leadership, innovation, and lifelong learning.
As part of the inauguration, department-wise achievement videos were presented, showcasing the academic accomplishments, technical innovations, industry collaborations, placement achievements, student projects, club activities, and extension programmes of every department. The presentations highlighted the institution's unwavering commitment to quality technical education and the holistic development of students.
During the programme, the college toppers were honoured with awards in recognition of their outstanding academic performance and dedication. The award ceremony celebrated their achievements and motivated all students to strive for academic excellence.
The programme concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks, expressing gratitude to the Chief Guest, the Management, faculty members, staff, and students for their invaluable contributions to the success of the event.
