Don Bosco Polytechnic College Thirukazhukundram
On 5th September 2024, our college celebrated Teachers’ Day with enthusiasm and gratitude, organized by the students to honor the hard work and dedication of our esteemed faculty. The event was meticulously coordinated by Brother Don Frangleen and Rev. Fr. T. Anandraj, who ensured the celebration was memorable for both the staff and students.
The celebration began with a unique and heartfelt ritual, where students selected the staff members and tied four different colored ropes with balloons to symbolize unity and diversity within the teaching community. The staff were then grouped into four teams based on the color of their rope, symbolizing the diversity of their contributions to the academic and personal growth of students.
Traditional Dance and Student Tributes: As a mark of respect, the students performed a vibrant traditional dance, warmly welcoming the staff. Each student presented a heartfelt tribute, acknowledging the efforts of each faculty member. This was followed by the presentation of thoughtful gifts to the staff, celebrating their commitment to shaping the future of the students.
Special Performances and Fun Activities: The students from the Mechanical Engineering Department showcased a lively dance performance, adding an extra flair to the celebration. The event concluded with a fun and engaging balloon game in the common room, fostering camaraderie between the staff and students.
The day ended with a thank you speech by Rev. Fr. J. John Joseph, who expressed sincere appreciation for the invaluable contribution of the teachers in shaping the lives of their students.
Looking Ahead: The Teachers’ Day celebration not only honored our educators but also strengthened the bond between students and faculty. Our college is committed to continuing such meaningful traditions that recognize and appreciate the contributions of teachers to the growth and development of students.
