Inauguration Of House System 04-07-2024
On July 4, 2024, Don Bosco Polytechnic College proudly inaugurated its Sports and Cultural Committee for the academic year 2024-2025. The event was masterfully led by Mr. D. Thanigaivel, Vice-Principal and Head of the Department of Basic Engineering, who also delivered the opening address. The Prayer Club students started the ceremony with a prayer song, invoking divine blessings. Mrs. R. Ramya, Vice-Principal and Head of the Department of Computer Engineering, extended a warm welcome to all attendees. Rev. Fr. C.M. Varghese, Rector and Secretary, introduced the Chief Guest, Mr. C. Ganesan, Training Judge at Chengalpattu District Court, who gave an inspiring speech on learning and success.
Rev. Fr. J. John Joseph, Principal, honored Mr. Ganesan with a shawl, while Rev. Fr. T. Anandaraj, Director, presented a memento. The committee showcased its new house system, featuring four boys’ teams and two girls’ teams, with designated staff overseeing and coordinating. Captains and vice-captains led the march past and all team captains took the sports and cultural pledge. Mr. D. Gnanasampathamoorthy, Physical Director, outlined the year’s events and rules and Mr. R. Aravindan, Dean of Studies, concluded with a vote of thanks. The national anthem, sung by the Prayer Club students, marked the end of a successful inauguration, setting the stage for an exciting year of sports and cultural activities.
